Lingerie is advertised all over the internet. We see the lingerie models out in the latest fashions gracing our magazine covers. It becomes an issue of femininity and feminism.
Are we traitors to the ERA movement for wanting those skimpy thongs to wear underneath our clothes? No, it is our right to wear what we want and what makes us feel good. Men may not get that argument. They can buy their underwear in packages of twenty-five. Why can't we?
The war over shopping will never be over. One person may justify paying for something that makes them feel sexy, like a lacy set of lingerie, while another thinks it is a waste of money.
Maybe it is not a battle of the sexes as much as a battle over misunderstanding. Once the outfit is donned then minds may be changed. That plain Jane nightgown may not be able to hold a candle to that silky nightie.
Lingerie levels the playing field for women. We may have to wear a uniform to work that is for men or women but underneath is an entirely different story. The price is worth feeling like a million bucks.
We may balk at paying that much but thankfully most lingerie has not reached that price yet. Men, take a deep breath and sigh in relief.
