Knowing The Differences Between Men And Women

Differences between men and women are quite evident in many relationships. Men tend to be more aggressive and want their woman to be passive. While a woman expects her man to change over a period of time, to be less aggressive and show more tenderness.

This is why, whenever there is a problem, men bring out the flowers and chocolates, and write a poetic love letter. Men do this, because they know this is what a woman wants. Women want men to show a little tenderness, spend more time with her and show he cares.

She wants him to remember important dates like their wedding anniversary, birthdays and other important occasions in their lives. He wants her to look as attractive as she did on the first day they met and for her to keep flirting with him. She wants him to dress well, especially when they are around people. He wants her to be as stunning as ever.

The wider difference may be the character and meeting expectations. A man may be a sports fanatic, likes to go to motor sports and boxing. The woman is more into movies and literature.

Her expectations may be that over a period of time, he may change and stop going to all those sports and watching ball on tv and spend more time with her and the family.

More women are leaving home and looking for a better solution. Men are surprised when they arrive to an empty home. No sound of children. No wife. No pet dog. Everything has been cleaned out while he was camping for the weekend, with the boys.

This is why we need to accommodate each other and look out for signs of differences between men and women.

Overcoming A Fear Of Commitment

Fear of commitment holds people back when looking to progress their relationships and careers. It may be hesitating to make a career move, that may bring bad luck and feeling stuck with a bad job.

It may be a marriage where the couple cannot agree on anything and are always arguing about making decisions. It may even be a couple who are looking to take the next step in their relationship, and do not wish to commit to a long term relationship.

Some people hesitate with every decision they make and think about all the possibilities of how things can go wrong with horrible outcomes. If these people continue to dwell on the bad outcomes, then they will never make a decision on anything.

Life is about taking risks, having a hunch, feeling it in your bones. Once a decision is made, then you do not need to listen to any fear of commitment.

They may have felt hurt in a previous relationship and do not want to go through the same process all over again with this relationship. You may look to give them assurance that you want to make every effort to maintain your relationship.

If two people work together to keep a relationship going, then nothing will stand in your way, as you will always seek solutions to eradicate stumbling blocks.

If you truly believe in each other, then you will work on this relationship. One way to find solutions, is to talk openly about everything, for hours on end, uninterrupted by phones, television and other bad news. Just lock the door, pretend no one is home and send all calls to voicemail.

This way you will know, if you are truly for each and will overcome any fear of commitment.

Better Relationships Are Your Reward For Sticking Together

Better relationships are the result from those who prepare to meet challenges in life together. In order for a relationship to last a long time, you need to be able to listen to each other, have the ability to give and take and listen to each other. You need to be soul mates. You need to be there when the other hurts. True love between soul mates helps to keep relationships together.

You may have met your sweetheart at junior college, and after a period of dating, you decided you could not spend any more time away from each other. So you decided to live together in a long lasting relationship. You may have even sealed your relationship with a wedding ceremony.

If you have ideas in your head, like you want to graduate from college and work in business, then you should do that first, before you get married. Once you have your graduation certificate and you have stability in employment, then you know you are ready to take the next step in your life and prepare for marriage.

You may find your fiance, may feel more comfortable with your relationship, if she knows you are leading a stable life with a steady income. If you decide to get married, without stability in your life, then you have already started on the backfoot and it may be difficult to maintain your marriage, if you do not have a job and you are still studying for your graduation.

Some couples are engaged for a few months or a year and then get married. There are other couples that are engaged for years, before taking the final walk down the aisle.

While the couple is engaged, there is a lot to find out about each other. You want to know what makes her tick, what she likes and dislikes. Is she a romantic, or does she take things for granted?

Knowing a lot about each other, always leads to better relationships.

Finding True Love In A Relationship

True love is being there for each other. To feel the hurt when she is feeling pain. To cry together. To finish each others’ sentences. To know how to please each other. Knowing her buttons. If you have made the effort to please her and always looking for solutions whenever there is a challenge to the stability of the relationship, then you share a true love, that cannot be broken.

Being together, having children and growing old gracefully is the stuff of many fairy tales. Reality is that many couples end in the divorce court at the first serious challenge to their relationship. Instead of looking for solutions to maintain their relationship, they look for a quick fix.

These days of the drive thru marriage and quickie divorce, there needs to be greater attempts to find solutions that will please both sides. Some people need to change their ways as they grow older. They cannot continue to live their lives the same way as before they were married. Marriage has many pressures and responsibilities.

Once you are in a serious relationship like a marriage, you cannot keep drinking to excess every night after work, coming home drunk as a skunk and then beating the wife cause there is nothing to eat. This kind of relationship will not last as there can never an excuse for domestic violence.

If there is no abuse in your relationship, but your relationship is going downhill, cause your children have grown and there are no more challenges to meet in your relationship, then you need to make a bigger effort to stay together. You could start over again, as if you were dating for the first time. This may help you find the reason why you wanted to marry this wonderful woman. The reason you saw true love.

After all, marriage is forever, as promised at the altar, "till death do us part". But if the couple stays together for the sake of the children and then find out how they really dislike each once the children have gone, then the solution is to find reasons to like each other.

If you stay true and honest with each other, and do not stray from each other, you should be able to find true love.

Relationships Friends Are Your Soul Mates

The relationships friends provide give us a sense of comfort and belonging. Friends give us compassion and acceptance when we're struggling or honesty and opinion when we're dealing with uncertainty.

As you age, your social relationships will change but it seems that you're given just the right friends at just the right times to make life more satisfying and worthwhile. Truly having a social network of friends enriches our lives and ensures a healthier, happier existence.

To foster healthy relationships, you must be able to provide the relationships friends need. Good friends are patient, understanding and good listeners. For instance, you may have a friend who is always late, yet instead of getting angry when she makes you wait, you should accept her trouble with time management.

Good friends take every opportunity to enrich their friends' lives with positivity. For example, your friend may have mentioned she was super-stressed about final exams, so you could go over and beyond to send her a care package of energy drinks, chocolate covered espresso beans and a rejuvenating face mask.

Good friends listen and help when they can. If your friend is having a relationship crisis, he or she may not need relationships advice as much as a shoulder to cry on. Yet if you can help your friend move out of the shared apartment, do not hesitate. Lastly, good friends forgive quickly and accept that people are only human.

There are so many reasons to maintain the relationships friends offer. Sure, you may have a great marriage, but romance relationships may not be able to give you the honest objective opinion of a friend. You might have family that can support you unconditionally, but you may not be able to tell them about a substance abuse problem.

Your friends will boost your happiness and share in your successes, whether it's a new baby, a job promotion or a new house. Your friends will help you weather storms like divorce, injury, illness, the death of a loved one or job loss. Thanks to our social relationships, we'll live longer, healthier and happier lives.

Strengthening And Maintaining Personal Relationships

Psychologists suggest that forming and maintaining personal relationships is part of our normal development. People require stable interpersonal relationships to avoid depression symptoms, anxiety, loneliness and unhappiness. Other people can back up our self concept or force a moment of illumination.

Their presence can help us determine what is "normal" and how we compare to society, at large. We derive companionship, intellectual stimulation and a sense of completeness from our various relationships. There are several components to maintaining healthy relationships.

Another way to strengthen any of your personal relationships is to learn to manage anger properly. The feeling of anger rises up naturally and you can't possibly fault yourself (or anyone else) for having emotional responses. The problem comes when the angry person can't manage that anger, which results in overreacting, shouting, name-calling, breaking things, or even becoming physically violent.

It's important that you learn to keep your anger under control but it's also important that your partner understands how to avoid your triggers. Positive communication breeds healthy relationships, which can keep both partners away from a cataclysmic meltdown.

If you feel overwhelmed by the problems in your personal relationships, then you may want to consider counseling. You can get individual, family or marriage counseling for a wide variety of issues, including marital difficulty, divorce, addiction, substance abuse, depression symptoms, work stress, grief/trauma, parenting skills, emotional abuse, physical violence, financial troubles, eating disorders, chronic health disorders or low self-esteem.

Sometimes all it takes is an impersonal eye to alert you to patterns and then telling you the methods of creating healthy relationships. The first step toward happiness is admitting there's a problem and enlisting professional help to find the best solution.

Showing You Care With Love Relationships

Love relationships are a lot like having a pet lion; if you don't feed it everyday, something very bad will happen. Conventional love advice says that coming up with daily rituals to keep the relationship afloat is an ideal way to connect.

Perhaps it means sitting down for meals together or spending an extra half hour in bed talking each night. Maybe it's leaving post-it notes for your love or calling from work to say you care. The most important ingredient to healthy relationships is simply making time.

The next key to creating happy love relationships is replacing negative communication with positive communication. Reaffirmations are daily rituals that may begin as little more than an exercise but will eventually ring true. If you continually profess your love to your partner, you will begin to feel emotions stirring inside you.

Sometimes all it takes to get someone in an amorous mood is a few thoughtful compliments. Sexual relationships improve when partners let each other know what physical features they admire most. Even though you know full-well your spouse admires your eyes, it's still nice to hear even after 25 years of marriage. Speaking playfully with one another inspires a fresh approach to communication that can be rather fun.

Many married couples forego love relationships and settle for friendship relationships. They complete their daily duties like wind-up dolls, devoid of passion. They work their jobs, they take care of their kids, they do their chores, they go to sleep and do it all over again.

Often, if couples open up and communicate, they can rekindle romantic relationships on their own. In other cases, the cause of dissatisfaction or the loss of passion isn't clear-cut and love advice from a marriage counseling therapist is needed. You can have the satisfaction you desire if you are determined to get it.

Listening and talking to friends, may be all you need to break up the daily grind of living day by day. There may be a strain on your relationship and you cannot think of a solution. All you have to do, is exchange ideas with your friends and you may find a solution. You do not need to carry the world on your shoulders.

There may be someone among your friends who has had a similar experience and has come out the other side, keeping their loving relationship intact. You may want to know her tactics, so that you can apply them to your relationship.

There are many solutions to a problem in a relationship, but if you do not know of these solutions, then you will not know they are available. He is at home all day, waiting for you to arrive home from work, so that he can have his night time dinner.

By talking to your friends, you can look for solutions to this situation. Some of your women friends may have had similar problems and have worked out solutions and kept their marriage intact.

After all, keeping your marriage intact is one of the major issues you can discuss with your friends in women relationships.

Family Relationships And The Ties That Bind

Family relationships can be helpful in times of crisis, when you need support to overcome social pressures.

You may be coming to the end of a relationship and you need a shoulder to cry on. Quite often, a sister, a brother or a cousin can be your real friend or soul mate, who will lend you support and help with calming the transition period. To help you start looking for another partner.

Your family members are people you grew up with and you know each other inside out. You know how each other hurts and what not to say in order to avoid any conflict.

There are times when talking to family members about personal issues is rather difficult. This is the time when you need friends outside family relationships. I have found my best real friends and soul mates are people outside my direct family.
