Second Weddings For A New Start

For many years, the second wedding of a person was often an event that was somewhat downplayed and often held quietly and privately. However, second weddings in today's society are more acceptable and are often grandly celebrated with delight and great pleasure from all parties involved.

In many instances, second weddings mean that one or both of the engaged couple have children that need to be considered. In this case, it is imperative to be sure to sit down with the children and tell them first about the engagement.

Second weddings also offer a unique way to involve the children in the wedding ceremony program or the wedding reception. They can participate in the wedding party as junior bridesmaids or flower girls, a junior grooms man or ring bearers or even as an usher. If they are comfortable, then they can also participate by singing, reading a poem or lighting a candle as part of the ceremony.
