Many people choose roses to send on Valentine's Day. Roses are available in many colours, but you can choose the color most typifies your relationship. For example, red is the color of love and passion, so red roses are most appropriate to send to a boyfriend, girlfriend or spouse on Valentine's day.
Yellow is the color of friendship, you can send a bouquet of yellow roses to your friends to wish them a Happy Valentine's Day. White roses represent purity, it is best you give these flowers to your children or other young people in your life, such as nieces or nephews.
If you do not want to be predictable, then you may look to give Valentines Day flowers other than roses. One option is large lilies and violets, which will look great on the bouquet. Lilies are crisp and white, although there are some yellow varieties, and these are ideal for people in your life with a bright or sunny disposition.
There are also Sumatra lilies in a few flowers shops, these are a rich pink or purple color, and can be accented with small green plants.
